Someday

The momentary troubles we experience are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. Therefore we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen because what can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever. 2.Cor. 4:17-18

This old gospel song (from the 1960s) is suitable today during this pandemic for it encourages us to not focus on our present troubles but on the future God promised us.

Thank you Tapani Räikkönen for suggesting this song of comfort and hope. Please view music sheet in the Comment Section below.

Someday
by Clarence Williams & Paul Davis

Sometimes there are burdens that are heavy to bear
But they’ll be no more someday.
Sometimes in this life there are heartaches and tears
But they’ll all be wiped away someday.

Someday (no more heartache)
Someday (no more tears)
I’ll leave it all behind someday.
Someday (no more burden)
Someday (no more sorrow)
For heaven will be mine someday.

Someday (no more heartache)
Someday (no more tears)
I’ll leave it all behind someday.
Someday (no more burden)
Someday (no more sorrow)
For heaven will be mine someday.

Sometimes this body may be racked in pain
But I’ll suffer no more someday.
This old world may be growing in sin and in shame
But He’ll call me from it all someday.

Someday (no more sickness)
Someday (no more sorrow)
I’ll leave it all behind someday.
Someday (no more heartache)
Someday (no more tears)
For heaven will be mine someday.

I may not have much down here to show
But I’ll walk on streets of gold someday.
In my Father’s house there are riches untold
And I’ll share them all someday.

Someday (I’ll be a millionaire)
Someday (I’ll have a mansion there)
I’ll walk on streets of gold someday.
Someday (Jesus promised me)
Someday (throughout eternity)
A wonderful home someday.

Someday (I’ll be a millionaire)
Someday (I’ll have a mansion there)
I’ll walk on streets of gold someday.
Someday (Jesus promised me)
Someday (throughout eternity)
A wonderful home someday.
